The 75 ohm Lightning Surge Protector (859992) protects amplifiers and boosted devices from power surges caused by lightning strikes to antennas mounted outside.  This device comes with F-Female Connectors on each end and is inserted between the amplifier and the outside antenna.  For it to be effective, it has to be properly grounded.  A piece of RG6 cable has to go in between the protector and the amplifier.  This lightning protector is specifically for 75 ohm systems.
