Wilson 811201 is a dual band (850/1900 Mhz) Direct-Connect In-Line Amplifier with 12V DC car power supply. Also known as Pre-Amps, Wilson 811201 amplify incoming signal to the signal booster.  Direct Connection amplifiers require that your cell phone or data card be directly wired to the amplifier, via a phone specific adapter (sold separately), providing maximum signal performance in low-signal areas, particularly rural and remote locations.  Direct connect amplifiers can be used both in fixed and mobile applications - including buildings, cars, boats, trucks, RV's etc. and need to be connected to an external antenna (not included).  In addition to phones and data cards, this type of amplifier makes it the ideal choice for M2M applications, where the amp can be directly hooked up to a modem. Includes 12-volt cigarette lighter adapter (A/C power adapter sold separately).

This product replaces Wilson 812201 Direct Connection Amplifier.

This Direct-Connect amplifier can be used for M2M installations or as a Pre-Amp in-line booster. A Pre-Amp Booster is added into a complete, stand-alone building amplifier system, between outdoor antenna and the amplifier unit (close to the amplifier).
