Know Your Outside Signal Strength Your outside signal strength will determine the overall strength of the boosted indoor signal. Those with weak outside signal can expect less overall coverage than those with strong outside signal with the same signal booster.

Get the OpenSignal app if you have an iPhone, or the Network Cell Info Lite app for Android, and get reading your signal strength in standard dB (decibel) measurement. Use the chart below to determine an estimated coverage area for your indoor boosted signal based on your current outdoor signal:

Consider Purchasing Antenna Expansion Kit If you operate your business out of a single room, you’ll probably only need one antenna. If you have a ranch style building, you’ll probably need an extra antenna. If you want to cover a multi-story building or a series of rooms, you’ll need to scale your signal booster’s power and antenna coverage to suit your needs.

If your outdoor signal is weak and/or your office layout is long and narrow, or you have an enclosed office space, you should consider using more antennas. If your outdoor signal is strong, you need to install approximately one antenna per 1,000 square feet of coverage. If your office has multiple floors, make sure each floor has its own antenna.
