The Peplink Max BR1 Mini LTE router connects to the cellular network using up to two SIM cards. It receives LTE signal and delivers reliable internet connectivity via WiFi or Ethernet for up to 60 devices. Performance and speed depend on configuration, data plan, and cellular signal strength.

The difference between the BR1 Mini LTE CAT 7/4 is maximum speed. Unlike the BR1 Mini LTE CAT 7/4, the Max BR1 Mini Core LTE CAT 4 does not offer WiFi or GPS. It's a direct connect unit only (great option for IoT/M2M).
Max speed depends on configuration:
Max BR1 Mini LTE CAT 7 – Max download speeds of 300 Mbps and upload speeds of 150 Mbps.
Max BR1 Mini LTE CAT 4 – Max download speeds of 150 Mbps and upload speeds of 50 Mbps.

No. While the Max BR1 Mini supports two SIM cards, only can be used at a time. If your main connection is spotty, the router automatically switches to the second SIM card for uninterrupted service.
